HEART

The Heart Chakra is connected to love, compassion, forgiveness and the relationship we have with ourselves and others.

I created her as a Black woman surrounded by shades of green, with touches of yellow and white, because I wanted to give that energy a face I could connect with.

When I focus on my Heart Chakra, I picture her as a reminder to lead with love, be gentle with myself and allow my heart to remain open, even when life gives me reasons to close it.

Created using my thread blending technique, the layers of thread reflect both the softness and strength I associate with this chakra.

She reminds me that self-love isn't selfish, forgiveness can set us free, and having a soft heart doesn't mean we aren't strong.
