“art started my healing journey.”
I am a contemporary artist working within what I describe as an abstract practice of becoming, an ongoing exploration of stillness, expansion and transformation through layered, fibre-based forms.
My practice began at a pivotal moment in my life following a traumatic experience. What started as a search for stability and understanding gradually unfolded into a deeper journey of healing and self-awareness. Through making, I realised that art was not simply an outlet for expression, but a process of renewal, a way of rebuilding, reflecting and continually evolving.
With over 25 years in the fashion industry, I bring a deep sensitivity to texture, structure and materiality. That foundation informs the way I work today fusing thread, fabric, wool, embellishment and reclaimed materials into intricately layered compositions across canvas, sculpture and installation.
I am particularly known for transforming discarded mannequins into woven abstract expressionistic sculptures. Through fibre and form, I reimagine materials, developing techniques refined over years of experimentation. The works are both architecturally structured and emotionally resonant balancing precision with intuition.
When audiences encounter my work, they often describe it as something they have not experienced before. My first solo exhibition, Flow: The Art of Letting Go (South Kensington, 2022), revealed the depth of that response. Many shared moments of reflection, emotional release and personal resonance, affirming my belief that art can create space for stillness, healing and expansion.
My practice continues to evolve as a living exploration of transformation, an abstract embodiment of the ongoing journey of becoming.
“Creating art for me is like meditating with my eyes open. I get lost in my emotions, as it allows me to connect with my intuition. Art has played a massive part in my life, by helping me to explore my imagination which jump started my healing journey, it gave me hope, excitement, inspiration and freedom. I wish to extend those feelings through my artwork to world especially, to those who need that something to make them feel alive again.
Honestly speaking, everyone needs a space to be their true authentic self and I have definitely found mine.”
