Following the success of the initial exhibition, Emotions in Colour was later presented at the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in Belgrave Square, London.

During this exhibition, Karla created and presented a thread portrait of Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister, Keith Rowley, offering the work to High Commissioner Orville London. The presentation marked an early formal engagement between her practice and a diplomatic institution.

This moment signalled the beginning of a sustained relationship with the High Commission.
